JoyBoost ("JoyBoost", "we", "us", or "our") provides an employee engagement and wellbeing platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to joyboost.net and the JoyBoost application.

If you use JoyBoost through your employer, your organization administers your workspace and decides how the platform is configured. Some choices about your data are controlled by your organization rather than by us.

Account information you or your organization provide, such as your name, email address, role, and the organization you belong to.

Activity data generated as you use the platform — participation in activities and challenges, points earned and redeemed, badges, and content you submit (for example photos or files used as proof of participation).

Technical data such as device, browser, IP address, and log information, collected automatically to keep the service secure and reliable.

To operate the platform — authenticate you, run activities, challenges, points, and rewards, and show progress to you and your organization's administrators.

To secure the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, provide support, and communicate important updates.

To improve JoyBoost through aggregated, de-identified analytics, and to comply with legal obligations.

Within your organization: administrators and the people managing your workspace can see participation and engagement data relevant to their role.

With service providers who help us run JoyBoost (for example hosting, database, email delivery, and file storage), under contracts that limit their use of your data.

When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information.

We protect data with encryption in transit, strict separation between organizations (multi-tenant isolation), access controls, and support for multi-factor authentication.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and afterwards as required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

Your organization controls much of its members' data and can request export or deletion. You may also contact us to exercise your rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses.

To exercise these rights, contact us or your organization administrator. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the platform, along with limited analytics to understand and improve usage.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. When we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

JoyBoost is intended for workplaces and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and we will provide additional notice for material changes where required.
